Course or Curriculum Development

  • Actively involved in the design of the curriculum for the new Certificate, M.Sc. and B.Sc. courses in Biocomputing.

  • Developed a new graduate course in Data Analysis of Microarray and Data Mining (CSC 7991 - taught for first time in winter 2002 with an enrolment of 39 students). 

  • Developed a new graduate course in Bioinformatics (CSC 8860 - taught in fall 2002 with an enrolment of 10 students)

  • Developed a new course of Data Mining (offered in winter 2000 with an enrollment of approx. 30 students).

  • CSC785 Introduction to Neural Networks - a redesigned course with a strong orientation towards the use of technology (remote applications, www, etc.) and practical application (also see teaching portfolio).

  • CSC105 Introduction to C and Unix - completely redesigned the course. 

  • CSC 442 Operating Systems - designed a novel set of assignment and an automatic system for homework collection over the internet.
